Apparently you have to put something in this box.

This is a pretty cool loop. Sort of reminds me a little of the Sonic Mayhem stuff from Quake 2. Anyway, I'm enjoying the lumbering doomish leanings on here, malevolent indeed.

DarKsidE555 responds:

I really does? I do reminds me of Star Wars a bit now that Bad-Man-Inc. mentioned it. lmao. Thanks for checking Extar! This calls for pay back! ;)

Summary?

I like this quite a bit indeed. Particularly the drums, plenty of interesting beats and patterns. The really fast picking has that righteous feel to it, very nice. I'd really like to hear vocals on this, that would be totally awesome.

Great minds think alike

I say that because I submitted a cover of this today as well. I really like your guitar tone on here, really low and evil. The intro sounded really good too. I think it's pretty unfair how some of the other reviewers are complaining about it sounding too similar, because it's got a much more modern metal sound. They just don't want to admit you can play it well. Thrashtastic.

speedmetalmessiah responds:

Yeah man, actually your cover is what reminded me I had this sucker kicking around. So I've really got to thank you for that one. I don't mind people saying it sounds similar, because to my knowledge I played it note for note. Except for that solo thing of course. Glad you like it man, and I'll get around to leaving a review for your version sometime soon, I've already listened to it, but was too lazy to sign in and review, haha. Thanks for the review.

Coolio

This was really cool, I really like the sound of the drums and the piano/string instrument that's playing at about 0:30 onwards. It builds up very nicely and I like the chord changes. Very atomospheric and tense, more please!

This is really nice. I really like the old school death metal sound, very early Death-ish. The drums sounded a little tinny but you could get away with calling that a homage to the ropey production on old death metal anyway. Some satanic-nonsense vocals would really set this off. Awesome wah action too. More please!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Yeah, the drums are VERY tiny in this, because I was still searching for a good drum prog. Bad-Man-Inc. helped me out on this one with the drums. But you pretty much nailed it all there! Thanks a lot for checking!

Outstanding

Sorry I just couldn't help myself with that summary. Anyway, enough people have complained about the production already. I really like the music here, the lead is really sweet and from about 0:46 onwards with the squeeling solo section is really cool too. Excellento.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thank you sir. Sorry for the lack response for so long. Basically, thank you man. Its cool to have your support. You are a wicked musician...so thats cool. Thanks again!\m/

Really cool

I'm enjoying the atmosphere in this one. Very nice indeed. Really cool mysterious sound to it. The sort of stuff you'd expect in some evil temple or something. Excellento.

GoreBastard responds:

Cheers mate. Actually it was inspired by an old game called Syndicate Wars.
Thanks for the chool review!

Sounded fine to me

The guitars sound absolutely awesome on this, not crackly for me at all. The intro was really cool too, very King Diamond-esque, which is great.

I make games in Pico-8.
