Cruel

Again, those vocals are fucking awesome, the guitar work was very good too. I particularly enjoyed the solo section, fucking awesome. The drums were better on here than on 'Gulf' I think. Around 2:28 was VERY Megadeth-ish, cool stuff.

Gulf

I wasn't very impressed with this to start with, the intro sounded pretty weak, the drums weren't very powerful nor were the guitars. However, as soon as the vocals came in (which is ALWAYS a good thing on here) things picked up markedly. I liked the change to the more mellow section, somewhat reminiscent of Powerslave-era 'Maiden. The vocals really were very good, particularly just before the solo which was also excellent.
In terms of improvement, the sound of the drums really needs a lot of work, they sound pretty embarassing when they're exposed, other than that, top notch stuff.

Fear

This is fucking sick. I'm enjoying it a lot.
The drum intro was very cool, the drums sounded a bit flat and tinny but I can forgive that. The rest of the drums were great, as was the guitar work, crushing and brutal.
I really liked the vocals, there should be more on this site. I like the idea of having different characters in the song, very King Diamond-esque. I want to hear more of this.

Tortured

Songs aren't always to be listened? Then why put them up on here?
Anyway on the song. I shed a tear every time I see a metal song on here using synth guitars, not cool at all. However, I kind of liked bits of this, between the stupid squeeling noise. There was a bass! And it had actually had thought applied to it! This gets my applause. I also enjoyed the bizarre organ part, it reminded me of the midi music on games like Hexen, which is a good thing. Midi music isn't metal though, this song is in the wrong genre.
However, there's that fucking squeeling noise, what were you thinking? It's horrible, it literally hurts my ears and it only detracts from the song. The idea of showing 'hatred' in a song is agreeable enough. But hatred is supposed to be malevolent, ominous, brooding, powerful, not annoying. The squeeling noise gave me a migraine, is it that you hate your audience?

Hell's Clouds

What there was in this song, I liked. The guitar parts were nice, I particularly enjoyed some of the harmonies. The song was laid back and atmospheric and there were some nice licks in the lead part. The main riff itself wasn't bad either.
The trouble is there was a lack of any progression from the first theme, the song didn't really go anywhere. For me, not including drums and bass is also pretty unforgiveable, I was left thinking how much more awesome it would have been if there were some lumbering bass line and pounding drums to really set things off. The trouble of the lack of change in the song meant that it felt like one giant intro, particularly with the lack of percussion. Three minutes of intro with nothing else isn't going to impress many people on here.
I do see the seeds of a good idea in here, and I would like to hear it within a proper song that feels like a lot of work and effort went into it, which this unfortunately doesn't. Admitting your own song 'fell together' and is 'a little sloppy' doesn't really do yourself any favours.

Pancracea

I think there are a lot of problems with this song which get in the way of what would otherwise be very good indeed. I'll start with what I didn't like.
The drums didn't feel very well thought out or varied, nor did they sound particularly powerful. The drums in the intro really don't do the song any justice. Also, the drums are far too quiet for my liking and there was massive overuse of the crash cymbal where a ride cymbal would have done a better job.
My second point of contention is the start of the song, up to around 0:33. The riff was pretty horrible, and it went on too long. If I hadn't have skipped forward in the song I'd have been reaching for the 1/5 button.
Thirdly, what's with the thirty seconds of near silence at the end? I can understand why you might want something hidden at the end of the song, but when it's thirty seconds in a song that hasn't even made the three minute mark, I don't think it's particularly helping things.
Now onto the positives. The middle part of the song was actually quite good, I was liking the soloing, nice and melodic and there were some good rhythm part riffs. The different effects sounded pretty good too.
There's definitely a good idea in this song, and I would like to hear more in the future. However, the good ideas are sat alongside a ropey intro that made me want to vote low, crude and weak drums and an inexplicable silence at the end of the song that felt like it was accidental. The song was voted unfairly low and I think it was because of the reasons I set out, so I tried to give it a more fair score. Still, there's a lot to dislike in this song which obscures the actual good stuff, and most of the idiots on here don't need much to vote low and condemn the song.

Management, man.

Layin' that shit down like it's hot yo, straight up and down yo, we know what time it is. Yeah, ahem, anyway this was really good, I enjoyed it very much. Rap ftw!?!?

HATE

Haha the dodgy production is actually pretty funny, in a good way of course, particularly at 0:25. It's like the sound of a rage tantrum. I'm really liking the fast bit, very thrash indeed. Maybe the addition of some discordant noise and/or indecipherable screaming would help this one. None of the forty seconds are wasted with unecessary crap.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

To the point, I always say! Thanks for another review, man. I might scream on this one, next Tuesday...depending on how the day goes. haha.

Thanks again, man.

Prelude?

This would be really good as a prelude to some crushing brutality, 'Clenching the Fist of Dissent' style. I was worried at first that it was going to go into some kind of House of the Rising sun thing but thankfully the nice harmony parts came in and put my fears to rest.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

I hear that.

House of the rising sun. LOL

I'd call it" House Where I Burned The Fucker Down While You Slept". Or something cool like that.

Thanks for the review, dude. I'm probably gonna do the intro thing. Thanks!

Groovlers

I'm enjoying the guitar tone. It's like gargling nails and concrete. I suppose some solos could make it better, but it's only 1:16 so I'm hardly going to complain about that. More please.

Chrizzly responds:

Cool, thanks!

I make games in Pico-8.
